Healthy Smoothie Anyone? Strawberry & Banana

Remember the days of heavy breakfasts of bacon and eggs, toast and jam? Traditionally eaten for years, you could almost have a sleep afterwards from the overload of heavy greasy food! Would you agree? Luckily eating habits have changed considerably and a wide range of food is perfect for breakfast without side effects. Drinking  healthy breakfast smoothies each day is definitely a super simple way to add healthy and easily digestible fruit for the whole family.

Even fussy kids will love a great tasting smoothie, plus you can “hide” ingredients they would normally turn their noses up at. Unless of course they are super tasters!  Eating enough fruits and vegetables can be a real challenge in today’s fast paced world!

Our Morning Strawberry & Banana Smoothie

  • 2 frozen banana’s
  • 1 cup of frozen strawberries ( or substitute for any fruit you may have in your refrigerator) frozen is better though
  • 2 cups of spring water
  • 2 tbsp. bee pollen ( wonderful immune booster)
  • 1/2 tsp. magnesium powder ( great for many things, such as bone building, and healthy digestion)
  • 1 tbsp. liquid B 12 ( this is great to boost energy)
  • 2 scoops of greens ( approx 2 tbsp)

How To Make Your Healthy Smoothie

First add the fruit, followed by the greens and bee pollen, next add the spring water, turn on blender, blend till fully mixed. Pour in glass and enjoy. Add ice if you like a cold smoothie in the warmer months

A great substitute for breakfast with an apple or other fresh fruit. This has become our morning meal. Not only does it taste great, but it adds energy to your day!

We have stepped our smoothie ingredients up  this year. We love adding Maca Powder, Chlorella Powder, and Spirulina Powder into our easy fruit smoothie recipes. All you need is a tablespoon or 2 and the powders blend in easily. Green Vegetable Smoothie For Body Cleanse

  • 1 Handful of baby spinach
  • 2 Stalks of celery
  • 1 Cucumber
  • 2 Bananas
  • Small amount of cabbage
  • 2 Pears
  • 1 Apple
  • 1 cup water or ice cubes

Preparation:
