Anemia symptoms are present in millions of Americans. Anemia is a reduction in either the number of red blood cells or the amount of hemoglobin in the blood. This results in a decrease in the amount of oxygen that the blood is able to carry and reduces the amount of oxygen to the cells of the body. Severe iron deficiency anemia symptoms can present in a number of ways and creep up on you.
Anemia symptoms have been present in my life for quite a few years. Just recently I have made some progress that I am sharing with you on how I have maintained higher iron levels just by the way I choose to live my life now.
I Eat A Natural As Possible Diet
I eat a plant based diet high in vegetables, fruits, seeds, legumes and nuts. Some people would like to argue that you must eat meat in order to keep your iron levels in tact. I am here to tell you that this is just not true. You only get about 20 % protein from consuming animal products and you run the risk of disease.
Animal proteins feeds tumors and animal protein clogs up your intestinal tract. Both are very good reasons to avoid them altogether. You may also like to read about detox friendly eating plans to cleanse your body of chemical buildup from processed foods and lose weight in the process.
There are many avenues for treatment for low iron levels. For me, daily juicing is a wonderful way to conquer low iron levels in my blood. I use carrots as my base and add in lots of leafy greens and sweet colorful beets.
Powdered Greens Keep ME Energized
Another trick for keeping my low iron levels in my blood levels up are my “greens” powders. Such as chlorella, spirulina, magnesium and maca root. All these supplements boost my energy levels and keep my body energized!
Taking a good scoop of Amazing Greens Superfood, I add it to my daily smoothie or juice and stir it in. I usually use 1 scoop a day, however if I am really tired or feeling run down, I will double the amount. The taste is pleasant, I have had some greens which taste just horrible!
There are 30 ingredients ranging from include organic wheat grass, organic barley grass, organic alfalfa, organic spirulina, organic spinach, organic chlorella (cracked cell-wall), organic broccoli, organic pure acai from Sambazon, organic maca, organic carrot, organic beet, raspberry, rose hips, pineapple, green tea, acerola cherry, organic flax seed powder, apple pectin fiber, F.O.S. (from chicory root), L. acidophilus, alpha and beta amylase, protease, lipase, lactase, cellulase, siberian eleuthero root and peppermint.
I have been having fibroid symptoms along the way as well, and was recently diagnosed with masses of fibroids in my uterus. Of course the answer the doctors have it to take the uterus out. The answer I have it to keep eating a plant based diet and research foods that feed fibroids and eliminate them from my diet.
Eating the way I eat now, I run a much lower risk of getting disease and other such serious problems associated with a poor diet. This lifestyle just encourages me to go a step further in my journey to wellness and deal with my symptoms of anemia iron deficiency in a much natural way, free of drugs and surgery.

Early warning signs of severe iron deficiency anemia symptoms can often go unnoticed. Such as loss of appetite, constipation, headaches, irritability, and difficulty concentrating.
For me I thought my symptoms of anemia iron deficiency were related to stress issues, as I had recently lost my dear Mom and so I didn’t pay attention to my body symptoms as best as I should or could have. This is a reminder to everyone to “listen to your body”. If you are having symptoms and changes to your health, there is a problem. Don’t wait until it’s to late!
