How about Making your own Beautiful Beauty Potions for You and your Family….:)
Green Beauty Recipes has over 200 + home made chemical free beauty recipes by Julia who has created a successful line of organic beauty products. What I really love about this book is how much information there is that is so detailed. If you wanted to start a cottage industry of selling beautiful face and body care products which are nourishing for you and that your body will love, then this book is for you.
I have used Green Beauty Recipes so often for our family and I have made Julias recipes for friends too. This last Christmas, I decided I wanted to give heartfelt gifts which were homemade.
So, I decided I would make a deliciously beautiful Rose Scented Body Lotion which I put into a pretty glass jar and decorated with Christmas ribbons. My Rose Body Lotion was a hit and it was really easy to make and I love giving home made gifts!
If you have never made your own beauty products, let me tell you it is easy to do and fun. You could invite some girlfriends around and spend an afternoon creating beauty….
I love this book not only because Julia has changed my thinking about the everyday beauty products we use on ourselves but how easy it is to make for myself.
She guides you to which essential oils, floral waters, vegetable oils, herbs, plant-based emulsifiers and natural preservatives to use, what to pack your own beauty products in to keep them fresh and the best way to store them safely.Confused about skin types and what products are good for which conditions? She covers all these as well.
Green Beauty Recipes covers facial cleansers, gentle baby care products for your little one, body moisturizers, face masks and face scrubs, facial toners and cleansers, delicious hair treatments and even deodorants can be prepared easily at home using only natural, easily available ingredients.
These are my yummy Coconut Body Butter Bars which smell good enough to eat and I was really pleased when I found these moulds saying HandMade!!
