Learning  how to cure anxiety and maintain a level of calmness is incredibly difficult when you are in the middle of an anxiety attack or going through an anxious period in life .  Anxiety is a feeling of nervousness, fear, worry and apprehension. Anxiety can interfere with your  ability to sleep, or function day to day. It may occur without a seemingly specific cause. When sudden fear arises, the body goes into a fight or flight reaction and it can be truly terrifying.

This reaction can be justified as “normal” in the case of say coming home to find a burglar in your house, you body will choose to either fight or flight the situation. But with a person coping with anxiety this reaction can occur at any time. For no apparent reason. This experience can be terrifying. Learning how to cure anxiety is most important.

Symptoms of anxiety can range depending on the type of anxiety disorder.

Below I will list some of the more common symptoms.

  • Dizziness
  • Muscle tension
  • Palpitations
  • Shortness of breathe
  • Diarrhea

Often when learning how to cure anxiety and settle anxiety symptoms, you must first learn to let go from what “if thinking”. What if thinking is common among suffers. Asking themselves what if I get to the party and I get uptight, what if I feel trapped in the car while driving home from work, or what if I get to the mall and the line ups are long?

Generally speaking people with anxiety are also suffering from some form of depression. They go hand in hand.

Some good examples of good approaches you may take are:

Relaxation:

relaxation skills can be taught, such as breathing, mediation, and yoga. Something as simple as a good cup of relaxing tea , can sometimes take your mind to a more soothing place.

Medication:

medication such as benzodiazepines and antidepressants can be used. However medication should be used when combined also with behavioral therapy and relaxation methods.

Exercise:

exercise has been proven to be a natural stress buster and anxiety reliever. Research has shown that just 30 minutes three to four times a week can provide significant anxiety relief.

Hypnosis:

hypnosis is sometimes used in combination with cognitive behavioral therapy. While in the state of hypnosis techniques are used to help face your fears and look at them in new ways.

Therapist:

a therapist can be helpful in discussing your overall well being and perhaps helping you to manage your negative thinking patterns.

Holistic Healing:

holistic healing can be a very successful method of healing anxiety for a lot of people. A change in ones lifestyle combined with diet change, relaxation methods, regular exercise and homeopathic remedies. This approach in the long run proves to be the most effective.

So often  an anxiety sufferer will lack self confidence. You must be confident when discovering how to cure anxiety. You must first approach a healthier, balanced lifestyle. And actually believe you will recover. The belief in yourself is vital, believe and you will see results!
