Recipe For Carrot Juicing

Why Carrot Juice ?

For me carrot juicing is a part of my  daily beauty and self care regime. I feel better, look better and my body responds better when I consume this juice each day.

Our recipe has basically stayed the same over the years, with a few minor changes here and there. We like to use organically grown carrots, fresh delicious red beets, shiny green spinach or kale and a variety of other wonderful veggies in our recipe.

Of course growing these vegetables would be your best choice. But when not possible you can always purchase them organically to ensure your carrot juicing is chemical free.

The Recipe

  • 3  washed organic carrots
  • 2  peeled and cored organic apples
  • 2  cups of washed organic spinach or kale
  • 2-3 organic celery stalks
  • 1  organic lemon cut up unpeeled
  • 3-4 small organic beets peeled and cut up

Juice all the above ingredients in your juicer.

You may use a strainer and strain the pulp off the juice if desired

Sit back pour a large glass and ENJOY!

I find the best way to stay on track with juicing daily is to make sure you make room for this each day. Make it routine. We sometimes get up a wee bit earlier just to make time for this process, otherwise you are feeling rushed and may end up not doing it. And if this is the case, don’t worry yourself about it, if you miss a few days you miss a few days. Just do it when you can. Even every other day works to. But I know a trick for us as well is to cut up the carrots the night before when you are tidying up after dinner, as the carrots are the majority of the work. And make sure you keep your pulp for your recipes, such as Raw Crackers
